Talk Therapy

Often people regard therapy as a place to come only when something is wrong.  While this is true, it is not the only reason to be in therapy. I consider therapy to be a practice, much like yoga or meditation, where one has the opportunity to take time, on a regular basis, to contemplate, reflect, and realign with oneself.

For me, therapy is a creative process.  Inspired by Yoga, Buddhism and the world of Art, I compassionately work with each client to create a holistic, relational, mind-body experience.  In addition to traditional therapeutic sharing, this may include breath work, meditation, and Somatic Experiencing. In this way, I hope to help you uncover and understand how your history has shaped your life and relationships today.  I encourage and sometimes challenge you to engage with your fear or resistance to change. We are all creatures of habit, and therapy is an invitation to go deeper in a welcoming and safe environment. Ultimately, my commitment is to help you develop the awareness each one of us needs to live an honest, full, and realized life.

"The most important relationship we can all have is the one you have with yourself, the most important journey you can take is one of self-discovery. To know yourself, you must spend time with yourself, you must not be afraid to be alone. Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom." —Aristotle
